I question these 20 line slot machines and the ones online too. Has anyone ever won big money just playing 7 or 9 lines? What’s your opinion of playing 20 lines at one time? I personally feel playing 20 lines can break your bank very quickly. What do you think?

Whether you play 1 line or 20, the final payout is same. Only advantage of playing 20 lines is that you are covering more combinations. Yes, you are correct as it will break you faster but, slot machine isn’t best as far as payout is concerned as you are betting against extremely high odds.

I’d max bet it, makes the wins really worth while and frequent. But then again you gotta have the cash to splash.
I agree with the above user. The payouts are the same, but you are paying more on 20 lines and you cover more lines. I prefer 7 or 9 lines, 20 is too much.
Just decide how much you want to lose and calculate it. In the long run, you will lose. In the short run, you could get lucky but it is very doubtful.
In many casinos, the sign says “jackpot only available with max coin bet”, so to get the jackpot on a progressive or big payout game, you have to play all lines, and sometimes multiple coins for each line. A penny or nickel machine may require $.50 to $5 for each pull. You cannot win the jackpot without playing ALL lines. You still have a chance of hitting 5 in a row & getting some payback, but not the big prize.
