I have a few accounts across the board that I havent played in a long time … examples: riverbelle casino. When i try to log into these applications now, it says access limited due to me living in the USA… when did all of this start and is there any pending class-action lawsuits I should know about?? They had no problem accepting my membership when I was paying money to play their slots!

Congress passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act last year and it was signed into law by President Bush in October. After passage of the bill, many internet gambling sites shut themselves out of the US market. Fortunately, many of the lawmakers who crafted or supported this act were voted out of office (and rightly so!)
The only things we can do is write to our representatives in Congress to repeal this unlawful act, and also join the Poker Players Alliance, a lobby group dedicated to protecting online poker player’s rights.
