Bank of America + Fraud/Claim?

So i went to a bank of america atm to deposit 0. It was one of their new atm’s where you just put money into the slot and it counts the money. A message came up saying that not all the money could be counted and that it was going to return some of the money. A message then came saying that ‘this machine can no longer accept cash transactions’. It gave me a receipt and the money went into my account as i saw it on the online banking page. The next day i find out that my account is being shut down for possible fraud. I go to the bank, and talk to some representatives on the phone and they say that no money was actually deposited. What do you think the chances are i will get my money? is it possible to even fake a cash transaction with these new atm’s?

Have them pull the security tape to see if you put cash in the machine.

I have not heard of these new ATMs but the fact is, you will probably not see your money. Not only is it that I wouldn’t trust a machine (because there is no way to prove it) but I have also known several people who have had nothing but problems with Bank of America in the past. Best thing you can try to do is to keep a paper trail of all transactions leading up to your attempted deposit and then all transactions till it is resolved. Keep names and employee numbers, as well as dates and times when speaking to these people. The best chance you have of seeing your money again is being prepared and able to back up your claim. In the old bank of america atm’s you could deposit an envelope and say there was money in it even though there wasn’t. But they would shut down your account as soon as they found out and report you to all the other banks so you could not open an account until you paid them back.
If you really did not fraud the bank they will figure out that you didn’t and everything will be fine.
