I think it is rare. I dont play a lot, but sometimes I do to keep the wife happy. Her friend won two big pots, once for 15,000 and then just last summer for $450,000. It is possible, but I wouldnt expect it. My biggest win was $600 at a wheel of fortune game at the las vegas airport.

I once hit a $4,000 slot machine jackpot. So what? I spent thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars more playing the slot machines.
I finally woke up after a few years and never played them again.
Simple formula: The more you money you stick into the slot machines, the more money you will ultimately lose in your lifetime.
