Question by El Guapo: On X-Box 360–does Guitar Hero kick pedal work on Rock Band drum kit?
My GH-WT drum set broke (the red one), rather quickly and I was able to purchase a Rock Band drum kit online cheap. Catch is, it doesn’t have a kick pedal. So, did I waste my money on the RB drum kit or will my GH pedal plug into the RB slot?

1 of my 2GB memory rams isn’t working after I had to remove it to format the hard drive for installing windows?

Question by Ken: 1 of my 2GB memory rams isn’t working after I had to remove it to format the hard drive for installing windows?
long story short, I ordered a desktop from CyberPowerPC.com and a windows 7 disk. I made a big mistake turning on the desktop after inserting the CD because it states on the Windows7-CD that windows 7 was previously installed onto the hard drive. Basically after making a big mistake on installing windows again, I corrupted a windows/system32 file and I couldn’t fix the problem on my own. I called CyberPower’s technical support line and I was told to remove the ram from the motherboard on the right side to format the primary drive. (I was able to format the drive and install windows 7 when I couldn’t format the drive before)…

Windows is running but I only have 2gb listed on my computer now instead of 4gb when I placed the other ram back onto the right side slot. I’m confused, is there a issue the motherboard or could it be that the memory ram I had to remove in-order to install windows 7 is damaged?….Obviously I’m not computer-smart, somebody please help me out.

NOTE: I know, I could just buy another memory ram called – (Corsair Dominator) and test a brand new one out but it’s going to cost me $ 70. I can also send the desktop back to CyberPower but the shipping and repair fee would cost me $ 95 or a little bit more. I just thought I should ask around online instead of possibly wasting money.
Somebody just told me the following statement below…..Dose this make sense?

Did you, by any chance, install Windows 7 32 bit instead of 64bit? 32bit will not be able to use the 4Gb.
You should not have to remove RAM to reformat a hard drive. That was ridiculous on their part.

HUH? RAM should have nothing to do with formatting a hard drive. Obviously it did, in this case… weird…

I’m hoping you did have the computer turned off while inserting/removing memory modules. Otherwise you may have damaged one of them.

My recommendation (assuming both memory modules are installed):
1) Get a memory testing program and make a bootable CD out of it – http://www.memtest.org/
2) Power off and reboot to that new CD to allow your existing memory to be tested. Note how much memory is displayed in the upper left.

If you see 4 GB displayed via memtest, then the memory hardware is working properly. Then it’s a matter of configuring Windows. One thing to look at is your System control panel -> Advanced System Settings (Advanced tab) Performance Settings button (Advanced Tab again). Make sure the “Total Paging File for All Disks” is somewhere between 4096 and 6144 MB. If not, set it to at least 4100.

If you DON’T see 4GB displayed via memtest, shut down the PC and remove and swap the memory modules carefully. To insert the memory modules, spread the clips on the sides of the memory to remove it, then push down on the memory module itself until the clips snap into place.

IF THAT doesn’t give you 4GB via memtest, then try testing just one module at a time, removing the other one from the system. If a module is dead, you probably killed it with static electricity. Go buy more memory.

EDIT -
Due to the way Windows memory works, a 32-bit system can’t read beyond 3.5 GB. Any memory beyond that point is not accessible. Depending on the hardware, the maximum accessible address can be anywhere from 2.9 – 3.5 GB

No matter how you put it, that’s STILL more than 2 GB

Good luck.

Question by Teehan Western: do most money tills you have seen contain 4 slots for notes and 8 for coins?

Best answer:

Answer by Alan
Usually tills have five slots for notes and five slots for coins. They are organized so that the note slot to the furthest on the right is for one’s and moving right it goes five’s, ten’s, twenty’s, and the slot to the left is for fifty’s and hundred’s. As for coins, it starts from the right as pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters, and the coin slot all the way to the left is for back-up rolls of coins.

I found out on Newegg . com that my motherboard cant take no more then 2200mhz of memory ram. Both of them I had where 1333mhz each. I’m guessing that’s why he told me to do remove one of the rams to install windows 7. if I’m wrong about the whole motherboard/mhz then 1 ram must be damaged guess.

Hi,

That is very strange as I have never heard of needing to take out a ram stick to format a hard drive!!

No, I can’t believe that the memory has become damaged by the windows problem, it is more likely that the ram is not seated correctly or in removing it you damaged it with static?

Did you earth yourself before handling the ram?

Question by bkelly is a loser: How much money should I bring to Vegas?
Hotel and everything is paid for, and we probably wont be going to too many high priced restaurants(probably stick to fast food and cheap buffets). When gambling, we’ll also stick to the cheap slots and tables. We’re going for 7 days and I was told bringing $ 1000 would be fine. You think that sounds right?
im leaving in 2 weeks and im getting a little worried im not gonna bring enough money to have fun. Im a college student on a budget. I think i can push it to 1200 or 1300 with still having all of my bills paid, so any help would be appreciated
i should add, the $ 1000 is just for me. Im not bringing a girlfriend or anything out there. Thanks for the comments

Q&A: Do I still get to chose the times that i go to work when i get interviewed and employed ?

Question by Nadine: Do I still get to chose the times that i go to work when i get interviewed and employed ?
Yesterday I filled out an online application at an local Kroger groceries store and i was wanting to work to get some money. My job coach instructor and my parents and my sister have told me to put in the time availability slots on the job application as anytime so i could get a more chance of getting hired, but here’s the problem I’m still in school i am in college and pursuing to major in computer engineering and so i have days where i have to go to classes and study. I also have upcoming plans to travel out of town for Christmas and thanksgiving. I also need some time to buy some clothing too like dresses, skirts, pants, tops and shoes like stiletto high heels. I’m into fashion a lot and i like to wear whats hot and in style and i dress classy and i never dress like a tom boy. Do the employers and supervisors will still give me time to do all of my school work and personal activities ?? I’m still in school and i need time for school work and time to go shopping for clothing and shoes ?

will probably work…except for that totally ridiculous notion about your fashion statement,i’d be sure to not mention that,on the other hand do tell, because it appears that you don’t have time to work considering your travel plans and so forth.ever thought about the 2 busiest times of the year in a supermarket, hang with the computer engineering, your common sense is a tad lacking.
