Card counting is the only way to win consistantly, but sooner or later you will be black balled. It also takes months of practice to get good at card counting.

You can win long-term with blackjack. The first step would be to learn the game inside and out. Next, you will want to limit your play to single or double deck games. I don’t recommend playing online, because you lose some of the benefits of real world play.

You actually don’t need to be a super card counter to win. You simply need to know the right plays and have some luck on your side. Money management is one key aspect.

As for slot machine, they are not “rigged” as some outside of the casino industry might say. They are very poor values. The slot machine uses a RNG (random number generator) to determine winners and losers. While it’s possible to win money at any time, being a long-term winner at slots is not likely.

In fact, most slots tell you up front that you will be a loser long term. Just look for the payback percentage. Keep in mind, this percentage is based on tens of thousands of spins and not a single session. Also remember that the slot machine does not have a memory chip to log whether you won or lost, so don’t play slots thinking the machine is bound to heat up.

Of course you can’t. Slots are completely random. Each time you spin the wheels it is like buying a lottery ticket. Sometimes you will win, but the house edge is a mathematical certainty. You will always lose in the long run. Of course as all gamblers know there is always that tiny chance of a short term win which can be substantial. But the odds are very slim.

Blackjack has a skill element to it. If you learn to be an amazing card counter you will be able to notice when the remaining cards in the shoe are in your favor. If you bet big when the shoe is in your favor and bet small when it is not you can neutralize the house advantage and be a consistent winner. The only problem is that experts are monitoring your play 24/7. If they even suspect that you are a good card counter they will ask you to leave the black jack area, perhaps even the casino.

But for every wannabe card counter there are dozens who try and fail. Even amazing card counters can still get unlucky. A good player shoe is still not a guarantee of a win in the short term.

So in short there is realistically no sure fire way to win big money consistently playing slots and blackjack. If there were they would not be building these massive billion dollar casinos in Vegas.

You might want to learn to play poker. There you are playing your skill against the other players and while the house takes a cut (tournament buy in fee or cash game rake) they don’t care who wins or loses. So the only thing stopping you from winning big money is the comparative skill of the other players. Right now there are a lot of fish who have seen the game on the TV and are deciding to try the game out. You can take their money quite easily, if you are a reasonable player.
