Is it legal to put a slot machine in a small restaurant or bar to profit off of? I’m not planning on having blackjack or poker tables in there, no real gambling, just one machine for people to play. Is this legal?

don’t know where you are , but here in miami you need a city permit .

not difficult to get , but you have to make sure its located in the back and that no underage use is occurring.

your city hall is the place to go and find out .

Both are 100% chance for example nobody can predict what hand they’re going to get in a card game, as the cards are shuffled (unless it’s rigged). So why the double standard between the games? Is a slot machine more “chance” than the Lotto which is legal?

poker is more a skill game, while slots are pure gambling, you dont have any decision there, only choose lines and press bet button.

You can lose a quarter on a game of slot machine but usually you lose a lot more on a hand of poker, so why is one legal and the other not in California? (aside from on Indian reservations).
Isn’t playing the Lottery 100% chance? That’s legal too.

one is a game of skill (poker does require luck, but a good player can win with a crap hand) and one is all luck. I guess California legislated out games of chance.

You’d be surprised how quickly quarters add up to a hell of a lot of money when you are mindlessly feeding them into a machine, and you are mindlessly feeding booze into your mouth.

I’ve been having bad insomnia lately… so I’ve been playing games to pass time.

I got bored with some of the computer games I have, so I bought a bunch of casino slot machine games. (I like to play penny and 2cent slots when I go to the casino, which unfortunately isn’t often since the nearest one is pretty far away.)

I don’t like the slot games on the CD… so I thought of playing online slots at online casinos… but is that even legal? My mom said online casinos are illegal except for entertainment purposes. You can’t win actual money.

kind of like at bars. Slots that pay out at bars are illegal in my state. They can have them, they just can’t have them set to pay out winnings.
I don’t have a very addictive personality.

I spent a week in vegas and only played with the whole week. Never went over. When it was gone it was gone and I went to shows instead.

First of all, is this legal? And secondly, what is a good slot machine to buy? I see that most available online only accept tokens. I want mine to accept quarters. Any suggestions?
