Question by BrwnEyedBeauty782: What’s the most you’ve ever won on a penny slot, what was your bet, and what game were you playing?
Just curious to see how much people have won on penny slots, and what people think is a good bet. Include how many lines and bets per line also.

Penny slots are a bit of a con really. They sound awfully cheap, and that you cannot lose a lot of money. But you can easily lose $ 500 an hour, no problem at all.

The problem is they create so many line combinations so it is prudent to buy a lot of lines to increase your odds of hitting a prize. Then you can usually bet multiple credits per line. You really need to do this, because if you don’t bet max credit there is a good chance that you won’t be eligible for the big jackpot if you win.

So because of this penny slots can often cost well over $ 1 a spin. So quite frankly I’d rather play a quarter machine for max lines, which often costs just 50c or 75c per spin. I’ve also read that quarter machines tend to pay better than smaller denominations.

My 2 yr old likes to go over grandma’s and play with her slot machine – it’s a real casino type machine, but uses fake tokens. I took a picture of her and wanted to send it to the relatives, but I stopped and thought, is this legal??? Now before I get all the comments of “this might create a gambling addiction when she’s older” – read up on the psychological term “Satiation Principle” before you post anything about that and you’ll see why I don’t mind her playing it. Anyway, I’m just more worried if there are any legal issues about the picture.

They are no legal issues since no money is changing hands. From a worry about a gambling addiction I was suggest against it. I am a recovering gambling addict and I remember seeing a slot maching on a ferry between the UK and Ireland and being obsessed with all the lights and colors. I understand the Satiation Principle but there are other way for a toddler to be amused.

On those quarter machines that have 1 line I just put 1 dollar in each machine and play like 20 different machines. It doesnt matter if you put $ 10 or $ 1 in a machines its gonna win if its gonna win. plus with the quarter machines I can play my dollar down to nothing because you bet by 25 cents at a time. so I dont have to cash out like 13 cents or something like that.

They have a software inside. And they are each of them, set as the casino wants. Play for fun, and not to win so much. they are another ways to make money, but if you want it and think u r lucky, go for it

Question by Dave: I hit the bonus on a slot machine, but I was not playing maximum credits, does it matter?
how many credits you play? Somebody sitting next to me said that if I were playing the max credits I probably would not have hit the bonus that it probably paid off for a smaller denomination.

I was playing $ 0.50, max bet was $ 5.00. I was down to my last $ 1.75 and I hit the bonus that got me into extra spins. Once there I won more spins, and then I was up to 30 free spins. On the 22nd spin all wilds came up and I ended up wining over $ 125.00.

So, I’m sort of mad because if I were playing max I would have won $ 5,000.00 or would I have?

Yes, u would have! Even if u were playing max, u still would have hit! The machines are set to hit jackpot at a certain time, and when they do u win, regardless of the amount u are playing!

This isn’t always so, in Asia and for the Chinese 8 or 888 is recognised as the lucky number although, I think that if you ask a person to pick a number most people choose 7.

When was the last winner.

Also some of them are made to win every 10 times, 20 times, or even 30 times. So watch other people play them for awhile and see if you can’t figure out the pattern.
