Question by K-Mart: Video Card buying help?
I was looking into purchasing this video card

It will work with my DG31PR motherboard right. With the exception of the HDMI audio?

My understanding is that I can use a PCI express 2.0 card in my PCI 1.1 express slot, although it won’t gain all of the bonuses it would have with a 2.0 slot.

Correct, it’s compatible. A suggestion though; if you’re gonna use it for gaming considering looking for a GDDR3 version if it exists.

I had a browse through the site and saw the 9600GSO cheaper than the 9500GT (before re-bate). It’s a much better card than the 9500GT.

Have you ever noticed when you are gambling, every machine you go to, you win and other times you can’t win anything. It can’t just be luck or is it coincidence? There is times that I noticed that the machines are paying off throughout the casino.Does anyone know how they are programed? I know there is a computer chip.

I watched a documentary on this once. Apparently they’re programmed on timers so that wins start happening after a certain amount of time. The only thing that’s random is what you win.

ATI Radeon Xpress 200 with available PCI-express slot
It uses my RAM for video memory

Hard Drive (its enugh for me)
120GB

Memory
880MB DDR SDRAM (its supposed to be one gig but its shared)

Video Memory
Um since total is 1024MB then means its possible 144MB or 128MB, i dunno :S

Now pretend you were in my situation, meaning you had exacly the same comp as me, would you:
1) wait 2-3 years to get a new computer
2) spend sum little money now and get a better video card to enjoy the time of wait till a new computer

Advantages of a video card:
1) be able to play most games
2) finally have full 1gig ram

If yes, can you recommend sum cheap video card under 100 bucks in retail stores (not online cuz they dont ship to canada -.-)

well i live in canada too, but i dunno where in canada you live in. if you’re in toronto e-mail me to give you some stores so you can get a cheap video card. ok now, PCI-express if perfect because you get a nice and cheap video card for it, the more you spend the better you buy but its your choice, so for 100 bucks i would probably get a nvidia 6800 xt, i would live the computer for now, it looks good enough to me, i think if u get the video you’ll be fine for a year or 2, but i still recommend if you can, to save up some more money, up to 300 bucks, 400 bucks would better and get a really nice video card like the 8800 series, and slowly upgrade your pc, cuz ur gonna keep the video card anyway if you get a really good one. i think all u need right now is a video card, if you get a really good one like the 8800 series, it would be perfect. i dont think spending 100 is worth it still. waste of money. but its ur choice.

There are magnets that you can place on machine. However, even though you may not see cameras, they may be hidden. Any winnings that are discovered to be gotten that way would nullify it.

That’s a tough price point. I’d say a 9800GTX+ or an HD5670 is your best bet.
