Single deck blackjack gives you as close to 50-50 as you can get in a casino. Even wish multiple decks, your odds are as good as they’re going to get.
Don’t get me wrong – the odds are still on the side of the house. After all, how else do you think they can afford such huge hotels with such rich decorations?
Slot machines are required by law to payout, but have no requirements about when, or how much they pay out.

Dapo has “no clue” what he’s talking about. There is no way a dealer can purposely arrange the cards to reach 21! Chad is incorrect also. There is no way that you can cheat and get away with it unless you have a dumb dealer with an even dumber supervisor and the survelance camera is off. If you get caught trying to cheat, you will have 3 pair of eyes on you constantly (including servalance). I could go on into further details about what happens to a cheater, but that is not your question. Okay, your odds are better with blackjack but only if you “Play by the Book”. First signs to look for before you even sit at a talbe is: 1) a friendly dealer; 2) if he/she has a full rack of chips, that means the house is winning; 3) look for stacks of chips in front of the players. If they don’t have many chips and the table is quiet, that means they are losing. If you don’t know the basic/standard plays “the book’s strategy”, you will not only lose, you will also take the whole table down with you. You have to be a “Team player; United We Stand, Divided, We Fall”! If you are a novice, and you still want to play, the best thing to do is play one on one with the dealer and hope you are having a lucky day, or let the players at the table know that you are a novice and open to suggestions. They will be more than happy to help you out because it’s their money on the table also. Make sure you know the right move before you give your hand signal to the dealer. A courteous player will wait for the dealer to shuffle and start off with a new shoe of cards. If you decide to play in the middle of a shoe, ask the players ‘how’s the table going?”, then they will tell you to open another hand or to wait because they are having a good run. Tip the dealer when you get a blackjack or as you are winning; that will give him/her incentive to professionally guide you on the “team work”. Do NOT say “oh, I tip at the end” – that is a total turn-off for the dealer and he/she will take you down if it is at all possible. Have fun and hope you are having a lucky day!

Your ODDS of winning money are better at blackjack if you know the game and the strategies, but there’s a lot of second-guessing to do. It’s not that much effort on your part, but there’s far more than in the slot machines.

Buy the strategy card at any casino giftshop (you can use it at the table), learn the game and start out by betting small. I am astounded by the myriad of bad answers on this question.
Single deck is generally the WORST form of blackjack to play. Almost all single deck games pay 6-5 instead of 2-1 on blackjack, and that kills the game’s odds. If you want the best odds at blackjack, you should look for double deck games, not single deck.
When using basic strategy (which is what everyone on here is suggesting) blackjack does NOT have the best odds in the house, craps does.
The only thing most of the posters on here are correct about is that slots are a terrible bet, and blackjack is a better game. You can actually beat blackjack if you learn to count cards, but it’s difficult and if you get caught they’ll ban you from the casino.
If you want to win money, neither one is any good.
There is no casino game can you consistently win money at, not even holdem poker because the casinos charge a commission on the winnings.
Theoretically, if you learn to count cards and play at casinos were the blackjack rules are favorable, you might be able to have a slight edge. The problem with that is, no casino is going to sit there and let you win money consistently. Even if you win small amounts of money, you are going to be closely watched. The casino can control a blackjack game becuase they can control the shuffle of the cards. Blackjack is very very sensitive to how the cards are shuffled. If you don’t get a good shuffle each time, you will be loosing qute fast. Slot machines have fixed negative odds so the more you play the more you loose.
Neither. If you play the correct strategy for blackjack and it’s a full pay machine or table (blackjack 5/2) then it’s a break even game. Even though it’s break even it is possible to lose $1000 or more per hour until you begin to turn that around and win it back. So if you don’t have a lot of cash on hand stay away from it. The perks of blackjack are casino freebies (comps) and that’s it. You will not win money on blackjack. Slot machines are horrible. Video slots can hold up to 15% of the money put through. Your best bet is to not gamble.
Not one time did you ask about odds; you asked what is an easier game to win money. I would have to say blackjack, although I do love the slots, and have won a lot of money playing them. Slots take your money fast and require no thinking…totally mindless…and sometimes that’s what we need!
